Foreign Ministry

Forest Hill began supporting two missions at the beginning of our church life in 2015:

Reformation Hope- Haiti

Reaching Africa's Unreached- Uganda

Reaching Africa's Unreached

Forest Hill has been a faithful supporter of Jacob and Carol Lee: Reaching Africa's Unreached since 2015. We have sent Pastor VanBemmel, an elder and other congregants to Uganda. Pastor VanBemmel will take his seventh trip there in June, 2025 where he will again be teaching church leaders.

RAU MISSION STATEMENT

Our Mission is to reach Africa’s unreached people groups with the glorious Gospel of Jesus by planting Christ exalting churches in their midst. Furthermore, we will endeavor to strengthen local churches and

their leaders through careful exposition of the Scriptures in word and deed that they may be strengthened to plant churches in nearby villages

with no church and unreached peoples in their geographical regions.

RAU VISION STATEMENT

Our greatest concern is that Jesus Christ would be exalted and worshiped among all nations, tribes, peoples, and languages (Revelation 5:9-10). We find our motivation to be in God and not man. Jesus has commanded us, “All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:17-20).

The greatest need of every person and of every culture is the clear proclamation of the Gospel!

It is our conviction that the Gospel is the “power of God for salvation” (Romans 1:16 & 1 Corinthians 1:18) and we have been entrusted to proclaim it passionately and rightly. Our dependence is upon the Holy Spirit for the power to preach, teach, live and endure all things for the sake of the elect. (1 Timothy 2:10). As Christians, we are called to lay down our lives so that the Gospel will be preached to all. As ones who are confident in God’s sovereignty and passionate for His glory we seek to reach the many that have never heard of the Savior and His work of reconciliation. We understand that this work cannot be accomplished in our own strength but only through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit. The means He uses in His people are cross-centered living, sacrificial and loving service, Bible-soaked preaching/teaching, fervent intercessory prayer, and Christ-likeness.

We hold that the primary work of cross cultural mission work is to plant local churches which in turn plant other local churches. Our goals, therefore, are 1) to see new churches planted in unreached areas 2) and to assist operating local churches through Biblical exposition which is “profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work” ( 2 Timothy 3:16-17). As much as possible we will seek to instruct church leaders from Uganda, South Sudan, and the Republic of (North) Sudan who can faithfully teach others (See: 2 Timothy 2:2 & Acts 19:8-10).

Multiplication is key! RAU will endeavor to place Study Bibles and sound Christian literature into the hands of these church leaders.

Reformation Hope's mission in Haiti focuses on supporting Souls Winning Ministries, an organization founded by the late Rev. Jean Jacob Paul, to provide for orphans, establish churches and schools, and promote the Reformed faith.

Souls Winning partners with churches in Haiti and the Dominican Republic to create a network of support, education, and spiritual guidance. In Marin/LaPlaine (just northeast of Port au Prince), Souls Winning Ministries has a church, a Christian school, a Bible college, an orphanage, a medical clinic, and a restaurant.

Recent challenges, including political unrest and gang violence, have disrupted daily operations, but Reformation Hope continues to provide aid, repair infrastructure, and support theological education. The organization depends on the support of partners to provide meals for orphans, building repairs, and theological training to the Haitian population.

Jean Paul's legacy of selfless service and dedication to spreading the Gospel remains the driving force behind their tireless efforts to transform Haiti through preaching, teaching, and serving others in need.

Serving Christ

Christ, empowering kingdom reformation, and bringing transformation to individuals, families, communities, and nations through imaging the Gospel of Hope.

Reformation Hope, Inc., in partnership with Reformation D’Espoir D’Haiti and Souls Winning Ministries, provides support for approximately 73 orphans.

Rev. Jean Paul, Souls Winning’s founder, had a big kingdom vision to reach the entire Haitian populace with the hope of the Gospel. Reformation Hope works with the rising new generation of Souls Winning leadership in developing a nationwide network of churches and schools, and also partnering with churches across the border in the Dominican Republic in Santo Domingo, Santiago, and the La Romana area.

There is great opportunity for the Gospel to be taught and proclaimed in this difficult island nation. Fervently pray for the spread of the Good News of Jesus Christ and the mighty work of God’s Holy Spirit in Haiti through our partners serving in Souls Winning Ministries.
