ABOUT US

Who are we?

We are a loving community of people who worship

God in spirit and in truth, seek to faithfully proclaim and live the

Gospel of Jesus Christ, and strive to serve one another and our

community with the love of Christ. Our worship is reverent but relaxed, a

blend of traditional hymns and contemporary worship, centered on the

preaching of God's Word.

Where did we start?

In 2014, a small group of families from New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Abingdon, Maryland began meeting in various homes for an evening bible study. In July of 2015, 10 families from New Covenant (including 2 Elders and a Deacon) were "planted" as a church in Forest Hill, Maryland with Jason VanBemmel as their Pastor. We became a "particular church" in October, 2016. A particular church consists of a number of professing Christians, with their children, associated together for divine worship and godly living, agreeable to the Scriptures, and submitting to the lawful government of Christ's kingdom. (PCA Book of Church Order 4-1). From the homes of the congregation, to just one small room at The Knights of Columbus "Newport Terrace," we have grown so that we now use every available space!

We purchased 11 beautiful acres on West Jarrettsville Rd in Forest Hill in 2019 with the hope of building our church home. We paid off the loan in 2022, and church leadership is patiently and prayerfully seeking direction as we move and grow into the future.

Our first congregational picture taken in what is now our nursery and Sunday School room.
